My Proper Goodbye

by Adelaine

I'm left out,
In this room,
Dreaming deep,
about winter's gloom.
I feel the breeze.
The snow flakes,
Drop dead around.
Get your shovels and dig.
All this snow,
We've to get rid.
It's just winter.
It's just dropping by.
Soon it'll all be gone.
Not a single one.
I'll see them fall.
They'll have fallen all.
It is winter's gloom,
A way of saying,
"Goodbye to Autumn..."
I wish you good luck.
I wish you to be back.
And I know the journey's hard.
The winter will push you to the next step,
Until you here my cry.
'Cause I know you,
Can't here me,
Right now.
I just hope to say,
My proper goodbye.
