How is True Friendship Suppose To Feel?

by Gasttlee

Friendship, companionship, are they real?
If so, how is it suppose to feel?

Is it like enjoying your favorite meal,
or is it as slippery as a banana peel?

Is it like strength you gain
for removing all of your pain,
or does it run over like a speeding train?

The people you meet,
will they be people you greet,
or will they burn you up with heat?

If friendship is essential of a person's need,
why is it so difficult to hear my plead?

If friendship keeps you from a grieving moan,
why do I always end up all alone?

Is friendship as good as a fresh gourd,
or a rotten apple laid to be ignored?

If true friendship can really last,
why am I always a social outcast?

When you meet someone, are you pleased,
or like me do you always end up teased?

Is friendship like a wonderful parade,
or is it just some lousy charade?

Does friendship fly like a rocket,
or is it a rotten old coin you keep in your pocket?

Is friendship something fated,
or is it another way of being hated?

Does friendship feel like a bird that takes flight,
or does it always change into a fight?

Does it make you feel up high in the sky,
or do you end the day with a cry?

Is any of this real?
How is true friendship really suppose to feel?
