CANCER

when i first heard you had cancer
it broke my heart
i couldn't believe, it when you told me
i just fell apart

you told me that you would be okay
and everything is alright
you told me you would hang on
and put up a fight

you struggled through chemo
then finally pulled through
your hair grew back
and yes your long hair grew

then with a blink of an eye
it came back, out of the blue
everyone couldn't believe it!
it was such shocking news

okay come on carter you went thru with this before
remember you can conquer this disease just like before

you told me that your doing good
and your going to be on chemo for a while

so i came and visited, i stayed a while
we would joke, and laugh the night away
then you got discharged and your were on your way

wow you did it again
you left us all in awww
I'm so proud of you carter
look at you now

cancer free,
no more hurt no more pain
you left us all in shock again

i knew you could do it
with out a doubt
look at you now
out and about

when i called baldwin i, knew
that... it was it.. and that god took you
i couldn't believe it.. i cried so many tears
and thought of all the memories we had for years

the night i saw you before you passed
left me to the floor
i wish i would have just came over
just once more

one more time to see your smiling face
always put me in a happy place
to see someone so special going through all this with out ... a sad face

i cant tell you how much i love you and how much i wish you were here
but i have all the memories in my heart, and pictures of you near

i can tell you one thing you will never be forgotten and this i can tell you loud and clear.....

all the nurses loved you
and so do your friends
your family misses you.. so much
our love for you will never end....
