You and me! .... i lost you!

We were very best friends,
you said we would always be,
you were seeing my brother,
but it was always you and me!

you and him broke up,
who was always there?
standing right by your side
telling you that i still care!

i was always there for you
through every sob and tear
i put my arm around you
and said " mate, im still here!"

we were like sisters,
joined by the hip,
we went everywhere together,
we enjoyed every trip.

we thought your friends could be dying,
we met him time after time
we all had great fun,
that fun should be a crime

we all became very close,
the 3 of us, best of friends...
everything together...
that's when it started to end..

our friendship started falling apart,
he was always there
you two became much closer
i felt like you didnt care

slowly we started arguing,
you sticking up for him
then we drifted far apart
you couldnt understand the hurt within.

you were my best friend,
it was always you and me!
we should be back together...
together we should be!
