My mum.

by I Am Mouse

My mum is the srongest of them all,
When everyone else is crying she makes sure she will at least be the one to never fall.

All she does for us, my brother, dad and i,
She never seems to stuggle with life,
And takes it one day at a time.

She can wipe away tears and once they are gone,
Your fears would dissappear forever,
She made you feel like her heart was another home.

She always says, 'dont be sad just because you're sun is gone,'
She is my ray of sunshine even when at times i'm not hers,
She's my mum, my best friend,
Because of her in my life,
I'm the world's luckiest girl.

I love her more with each passing day,
She's my one and only heart,
She's the reason i learn to stay.

She stands by me when i'm on my own,
She shows me happiness and gives me strength,
Then i begin to grow.

With every fight and every tear,
I want her closer than ever before,
She's my mum,
She's always stood near.

She taught me how to dance when i couldn't even walk,
She taught me how to draw and write my name before i began to talk,
She showed me how to smile and what to do with my fallen out teeth,
She taught me how to change my bed sheets.

My mum taught me how to say please and thankyou,
And to receive everything ever been offered,
She showed me how to brush my teeth and brush my hair,
She gave me butterfly kisses whenever she was there.

I made mistakes in my fourteen years and never did she let me go,
She stood there with welcomed arms,
Where i wanted to lie next to her heart,
She kissed me on my head and said
'oh kelsea, where do i start.'

She made promises sometimes she couldn't keep,
But i forgive her like she forgives me,
She knows what it's like to feel cuts in her heart, so deep.

Mum makes cakes for everyones birthdays,
She loves kids so much,
She wants to foster and keep her own kids near,
Instead we're growing older,
And she knows one day we wont be here.

Not once has she ever complained,
She got on with life even when it was hurting her inside,
She stands tall,
And sorts it out herself when it can't be explained.

That is my mum, that i'm lucky to see,
This is my mum, my glue,
My strength and happiness
I'm lucky but if you know her,
You are too.

She doesn't care what people think and neither do i,
Maybe thats where i get it from?
She's the mum i at least half, want to be,
She knows how to wipe away the tears of sorrow when i ever cry,
And still there's a tomorrow of when i'm a lucky girl,
She is my world.

She my life, my saviour, she is indeed my one and only world, I'm her little princess,
And i'm her little girl.

*my mum, stands by me when noone else does. she shows me how to pick myself up when noone else can. i love her very much. *
