Changes

They say High School is where your whole life changes before you.

I didn't think that meant friends too.
With you I thought I found something new,

You were supposed to be MY bestfriend,
yet somehow I'm the one whose left alone in the end

How have I become so unimportant in your life?
How could you put them before me?

We now talk less and less;

I used to think I was some-what blessed,
but now you've put our friendship to the test.

We still call eachother bestfriends,
& you act like everything's at it's best

I don't think you'll ever understand;
it's not you whose recieving the short-end

People change, this I know;
They live life, they grow, for reasons unknown.

I'm used to people playing a role in my life,
But you? You were supposed to be my wife.

I can't explain why this hurts so much,

Surely you must be hurting too?
Because I just never expected these changes from you.
