A Note To A Friend

Just writing down my thoughts
And sending them to you
I hope that you don't mind
Although some out there still do

The last time that we talked
You said that you had slipped
I think i understand
My heart felt like it ripped

When we were allowed to talk
You mentioned your thoughts to me
How day by day you struggle
With stuff you should let be

Don't think you are alone
We all have fought the fight
To not give in to things
Deep down we know aren't right

Many a mistake I've made
As my life has rolled on
And many more I'll make
Before from this life I'm gone

Please know that I am here
Just like I've always been
I'll do my very best
To be there for you, My friend.
