A Stranger's Testimony

by Adelaine

This is the last song I will write,
this is my legacy.

This is a trial for my old friends,
that they might remember me...

I know I'm young.
I've got much to live for,
but I see that death awaits me

....

It awaits us all

'Cause you see...
I know much about the world,
yet the world knows nothing of me .... .... ....

Let me retire in my bed,
untangle thoughts in my head...

...till midnight I lie,
then up the roof I climb...

...and when I look up at the skies,
I notice that nothings all right.
It's 'cause at night time
the skies bury the stars,
and nothing's fine...

...and when I look up at the skies,
I feel there's something by my side.
Yet, when I turn my head
I notice nothing at all,
since nothing's all right .... .... ....

'Cause you see...
I know much about the world,
yet the world knows nothing of me...

...and that line in my head
will keep on repeating,
till morning surpasses my death sentence .... .... ....
