I was trying to write you a love poem

I sat here all night thinking, not knowing what to say
and i have come to realize that my writing sucks okay?

I'm no good at writing love poems the words jumble in my hand
because i don't think i can explain love like running barefoot in the sand

so I'm still trying to write you a love poem bet i still sound like a fool
because I'm dorky and silly and just anything but cool

so as you're reading this pen upon paper i bet your smiling cuz you know I'm right
and probably wondering why i keep writing cuz I'm trying with all my might

since I'm so bad at writing you poems ill just get to what i wanted to say
well maybe not in this line of poetry cuz it doesn't rhyme with say

i really really like you that why I'm going to give you my heart
and if you take my heart, please don't break it, or my world will fall apart
